Beverly Bordello Hills
Beverly Hillbillies: Vol. 1, The The Beverly Hillbillies: Hillbillies of Beverly Hills Originally telecast on September 26, 1962, "Hillbillies Of Beverly Hills" was of course the pilot episode of the immensely popular sitcom "The Beverly Hillbillies." As everyone in the universe must know, it all begins when Ozark mountaineer Jed Camplett accidentally strikes oil on his property while "shootin' fer some food." Oil company executive Brewster (Frank Wilcox) offers to buy Jed's property for 25 of those "new kind of dollars" - million dollars, that is. At the urging of his social-climbin cousin Pearl, Jed arranges to move his family to Beverly Hills, CA. His daughter Elly May and Pearl's boy Jethro are excited about the move but Jed's stubborn ol'Granny "ain't a-goin." Fans of the series will note that both Buddy Ebsen (Jed) and Irene Ryan (Granny) are wearing an excess of "old age" makeup; in the series proper, both actors were allowed to appear a tad younger. This episode is also know as "The Clampetts Strike Oil." "The Beverly Hillbillies: Getting Settled" Having "loaded up their truck and moved to Beverly (Hills, that is...swimmin' pools, movie stars), "the Clampetts are welcomed by Milburn Dyrsdale of the Commerce Bank, where Jed's 25 million dollars are deposited. The hillbillies then make themselves at home in their magnificent mansion, "cee-ment pond" and all. To make sure the Clampetts are happy, Drysdale assigns his secretary Jane Hathaway to help the family get settled. Unfortunately, Miss Jane mistakes the ragged-looking millionaires for a family of servants. "Getting Settled" first aired October 3, 1962. "The Beverly Hillbillies: The Girl From Home" Peter Whitney makes the first of four series appearances as shiftless mountaineer Lafe Crick. Arriving in Beverly Hills in hopes of freeloading off his old "friend" Jed Clampett, Lafe brings along his plump daughter Essiebelle (Muriel Landers), who hopes to land Jethro as a husband.

"Beverly Hills Cop" - The heat is on in this fast paced action-comedy starring Eddie Murphy as Axel Foley, a street smart Detroit cop tracking down his best friend's killer in Beverly Hills. Axel quickly learns that his wild style doesn't fit in with the Beverly Hills Police Department, which assigns two officers (Judge Reinhold & John Ashton) to make sure things don't get out of hand. Dragging the stuffy detectives along for the ride, Axel smashes through a huge culture clash in his hilarious, high-speed pursuit of justice. "48 Hours" - Nick Nolte and Eddie Murphy make one of the most unusual and entertaining teams ever in Walter Hill's roller-coaster thriller, "48 Hours."
